ABOUT US

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Research Products Corporation was founded in 1938 after former employees of the Burgess Battery Company purchased patents and buildings from their former employer. Their goal was to specialize in building materials and products that conditioned water.

These products increased in demand in the early 1940s and allowed Research Products to grow as we got involved in the war effort. Expanded fiber material and RP Silica Gel was produced for vital war goods. In 1943, the Kleen-Duct Grease Filter was developed setting the stage for Research Products’s commercial IAQ innovations to come. In 1945, it was decided to concentrate on the chemical and expanded fiber division and the transition was made to focus on another vital elements besides water—air.

Research Products Corporation has continued to evolve to this day from our humble beginnings in 1938. This forward-thinking approach and commitment to innovation has stayed with us ever since. Today, RP Filter and its dedicated, committed team work through a large network of certified professionals nationwide to provide expert solutions where we work, learn, and play.
